New Dish, New Technique

After a 2 week hiatus, I am back in the kitchen!

This time round I have more or less gotten the hang of making fuwafuwa egg, japanese style.

The egg was a tad overcooked, but I now understand the physics behind the flipping of the pan.

Presenting to you,

Does that look awesome or what?

Haha. Ok maybe it doesn't look damn pro, but its hard to get it into that shape without physically moulding it ok!

No classes today and I woke up a very hungry man. With no food in the house, I had to make do with whatever I had in the kitchen.

Ingredients :
Pasta
Sutchi Fillet
Tinned Tomatoes
Olives
Butter
Black pepper
Italian Herbs

This was the result, and it was the most elaborate dish I have ever made.

Not only did it taste very good, it was a very wholesome meal! Half a can of tomatoes, 10 medium olives, and lightly seared fish. Barely any oil went to the cooking.

And for the first time I can say that I cooked the pasta to perfection, @ 14 minutes on low heat!

Can't wait to further improvise. =)

Busy ah...

I have never been this busy in my entire life, no kidding.

But it's good that I'm being kept occupied. Or my mind might just start wandering off in a wild tangent and dream about all sorts of nonsense.

It has only been 3 weeks, but a slew of projects has wormed its way into my life. 4 mods, 7 projects this term, one of which happens to be MAJOR HUGEASS.

The Hugeass Project - Leadership & Teambuilding Mod

What can be more "major hugeass" than planning a CIP event from scratch in 3 weeks with a budget of $0.00? Having to actively seek out sponsorships and beneficiaries - it'll be the death of me. I'm spearheading a team of 7 people - 3 PR Managers, 2 Publicity Managers and 2 Logistics Managers. It doesn't help in the least bit that my team are currently in contact with some of the biggest names in the industry and bigshots they could care less about whether they sponsor us or not. [like Ministers, NTUC...]

But like it or not, failure is not an option. Because if we screw up, it's gonna be a F. But if we do succeed, an A+ is not out of reach. We might just create the next bit of LTB history with the grandiose scale of our project.

// Sidenote : SONG BOH !!!

One thing I've realised, is why SMU students are recognised in the corporate world. When you're made to handle huge projects like this in Freshman year, you're immediately exposed to a lot of stuff you won't get a chance to experience elsewhere.

And this is going to look fantastic on my resume.

CCAs

On the topic of CCAs, I'm someone who doesn't like sports. I hate running. I hate sweating.

And so I joined band. (But I somehow keep pon-ing practices)

Also, my backside was damn itchy and so I volunteered to help teach Japanese in JAC. At the same time, I can disturb the only native Japanese there when it comes to JLPT1 questions. YES LA!

But here's the interesting thing.

I am setting up an entirely new CCA with a few other bondue mates. We form the core org committee of around 6 people so far. We are currently in discussion with an external company, and the school's AFC for funding. However it seems we missed the budgeting period so we didn't manage to get a portion of that $280,000 pie.

Procurement of instruments and logistics will be a very tacky issue going from now. Elvia even jokinly suggested we should embezzle $$. =p Who's to know when you're controlling the accounts!

Guess what? Its Chinese Orchestra!

They don't have it in SMU la!

Another damn cool thing to write in my resume!

The Rest leh?

You know what?

Screw Stats, Biz Law, AS and CT lah...

I'll just pray damn hard I'll get lots of As hahaha!!
